The Great Ritual
As the equinox approaches the ritual begins. For four weeks and five days it builds, until Cthulhu awakens and one worshipper is rewarded greatly. The time draws near — the return of The Great Old One is upon us. Join us in our ritual.
In the first two weeks, sacrificial amounts are placed in special, once-a-day blocks — a reward to the worshipper for the sacrifice made. In the third and fourth weeks the rewards build, small at first and then larger as worship swells with fervor. In the final five days — the Tharanak shagg, the “promise of dreamland” — the ritual reaches its final pitch, and the daily special blocks rise sharply.
At last, after the 665th offering has paid tribute to the Great Old One, Cthulhu will return and bestow a bounty deserving of Him upon one lucky worshipper. The ritual repeats every six months, following the great halving.
